Join the Project Cypress DAC Hub EIS Team in Vinton, Louisiana at Ward 7 Recreation Area for a scoping meeting regarding the Project Cypress Direct Air Capture (DAC) Hub.

Any person seeking information regarding the scope of the Proposed Project EIS or any person who would like to ask questions, submit comments, or propose an alternative for the Proposed Project should attend a scoping meeting.

The public scoping meeting is an open-house style event. Feel free to come by the meeting at any time between 5 and 8 PM.

Representatives from the Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED), as well as, OCED’s Third-Party Contractor (assisting in the development of the EIS), Battelle, Heirloom Carbon Technologies, and Climeworks Corporation will be in attendance at the scoping meeting.

At the public scoping meeting you can expect to:

  • Review available Project information

  • Learn about the EIS process, including an anticipated timeline of events

  • Meet representatives from OCED who will oversee the development of the EIS

  • Submit comments to the Project Docket for consideration in the scope and development of the EIS
